Privacy and data use
Nextcloud Workspace Bridge is operated for one owner's personal use. It connects that owner's Google Drive and Nextcloud accounts to edit selected Office files and deliver files through a designated Exchange folder.
Access and use
Google's Drive permission technically covers the connected Drive account, not just one folder. The bridge uses it to create and read temporary Google editing copies, detect and copy items in the recorded Exchange folder, synchronize changes, and move expired managed items to trash. Nextcloud access is used for the corresponding files and folders. The bridge does not offer public account registration.
Storage and retention
The owner's home server keeps the Google authorization token, Nextcloud app credential, and synchronization metadata such as file IDs, paths, versions, checksums, and status. File content passes through the worker to perform transfers; originals remain in Nextcloud unless the owner moves or removes them. Clean Google Office working copies normally expire after 72 inactive hours. Exchange deliveries normally move to Google and Nextcloud trash after 168 hours without detected content activity or an explicit renewal. A failed or conflicted transfer can delay cleanup so that changes are not discarded.
Disclosure and control
Data is transferred between the owner's Nextcloud server and Google Drive for the functions above. Cloudflare Access controls entry to the separate dashboard. The bridge does not use files for advertising. The owner can revoke the Google grant in their Google Account security settings; synchronization then stops until they authorize it again. Google and Nextcloud may retain trashed items according to their own settings.
Questions about this personal bridge may be sent to the support address shown on its Google authorization screen.
