Nextcloud Workspace Bridge

This is a personal connection between its owner's Nextcloud and Google Drive accounts. It has no public sign-up. The working dashboard is separate and requires the owner's Cloudflare Access sign-in.

What it does

The owner can select Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files in Nextcloud for temporary editing as Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Changes are synchronized back to the original Nextcloud files. Clean Google working copies normally expire after 72 hours without editing activity.

A separate Google Drive folder named Exchange accepts files and folders for delivery into Nextcloud. Recorded deliveries normally move to the providers' trash after seven days without content changes or an owner renewal. Reading a file does not renew that period.

Google Drive permission

The bridge requests permission that can access and manage files across the connected Google Drive account. Google does not offer a folder-only permission suitable for detecting files uploaded by a separate app. The bridge's own code limits routine discovery and changes to selected working copies, recorded file IDs, and the owner's Exchange folder. Only the owner should authorize this personal app.
